Édition Minkoff
L’Édition Minkoff est étroitement liée à la musicologue et éditrice Mimi (Mime) Minkoff (1924–2017), figure marquante de l’édition musicale au XXᵉ siècle. Après des études à Paris et à Bâle, elle se consacra à la redécouverte et à la diffusion de sources musicales anciennes, en particulier des XVIᵉ et XVIIᵉ siècles.
À partir des années 1960, elle développa un ambitieux programme éditorial visant à rendre accessibles, sous forme de fac-similés fidèles aux originaux, des impressions musicales rares et souvent difficiles d’accès. Les publications de l’Édition Minkoff ont rapidement trouvé leur place dans les bibliothèques universitaires, les institutions de recherche et auprès des interprètes engagés dans la pratique historiquement informée.
L’éditeur n’existe plus aujourd’hui. Les exemplaires proposés ici proviennent d’anciens stocks et constituent des derniers exemplaires disponibles. Ils témoignent du projet éditorial de Mimi Minkoff : mettre à disposition des chercheurs et des musiciens des reproductions aussi exactes que possible des sources musicales historiques.
Edition Minkoff
The Edition Minkoff is closely associated with the musicologist and publisher Mimi (Mime) Minkoff (1924–2017), one of the leading figures in twentieth-century historical music publishing. After studying in Paris and Basel, she devoted her work to the rediscovery and dissemination of early printed music, particularly from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
Beginning in the 1960s, she established an ambitious publishing programme dedicated to producing high-quality facsimile editions of rare and often difficult-to-access historical music prints. The publications of Edition Minkoff soon became standard holdings in academic libraries and were widely used by scholars as well as performers engaged in historically informed performance practice.
The publishing house no longer exists. The copies offered here originate from former publisher stock and represent remaining copies. They stand as lasting testimony to Mimi Minkoff’s editorial vision: to make historical music sources available in the most faithful possible reproduction for research and performance alike.

Die Edition Minkoff geht auf die Musikwissenschaftlerin und Herausgeberin Mimi (Mime) Minkoff (1924–2017) zurück, die über Jahrzehnte hinweg zu den prägenden Persönlichkeiten der historischen Musikeditionen zählte. Nach Studien in Paris und Basel widmete sie sich insbesondere der Erschließung und editorischen Betreuung früher Musikdrucke der Renaissance und des Barock.
Mit der Edition Minkoff begründete sie ab den 1960er Jahren ein ambitioniertes Verlagsprojekt, das sich der originalgetreuen Wiedergabe seltener und oftmals nur schwer zugänglicher historischer Musikquellen verschrieb. Die Faksimile-Ausgaben der Edition wurden rasch zu einem festen Bestandteil musikwissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken und fanden ebenso große Beachtung bei Interpreten der historischen Aufführungspraxis.
Der Verlag existiert seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr. Die hier angebotenen Titel stammen aus dem ehemaligen Verlagsbestand und sind Restexemplare. Sie dokumentieren eindrucksvoll das editorische Anliegen der Edition Minkoff: die möglichst unverfälschte Vermittlung historischer Musikdrucke als Quellenmaterial für Forschung und Praxis.
