Type NGE: Partially elastic New Nylgut® NGE synthetic strings for Lute and Theorbo
Typ NGE: Elastischeres New Nylgut(R), synthetische Saiten für Lauten und Theorben, besonders für die extra langen und tiefen Bass-Saiten entworfen.
Partially elastic New Nylgut® strings with a diameter between 0.50 and 1.60 mm, with a length of 180cm.
These strings have been specifically designed for particularly long extra bass strings in Archlutes, Chitarroni, Theorbos and, for the first time, they use a special version of Nylgut®: the partially elastic Nylgut®.
The percentage of elasticity introduced in the base molecule can be perfectly controlled by us, and this allows an excellent acoustic output on the low frequencies, compared to the old NGE strings. Thanks to their extreme flexibility, the strings bend on the bridge without any difficulties.
Without any doubt, the main characteristic of the product is a prompt and brilliant acoustic performance, comparable to loaded gut strings (in the extra basses of Chitarroni / Theorbos), and higher than that of natural gut.
Finally, it should be noted that it is highly resistant to wear and tear, and it is very stable to climatic changes.
