Gilbert Isbin – Intervallic Lute Compositions
Foreword
For a long time I wanted to write a book with lute compositions based only on intervals. This book was challenging to write but I am very proud of the result.
I have used 2 different intervals per composition. My aim was to write melodic and accessible pieces which might be performed by the intermediate or advanced lutenist. I hope these pieces will find their way to the lutenist’s repertoire.
Intervals might be divided into consonances and dissonances
