George Mason and John Earsden, The ayres that were sung and played at Brougham Castle in Westmoreland in the Kings Entertainment (1618), for solo voices, chorus and lutes, transcribed and edited with the addition of optional parts for lute band, by Matthew Spring. Ten songs, some performable as solos with G lute, others dialogues, and a big chorus number, evoking the Stuart masque, with a new lute band realisation. Ideal fare for a playing day or music weekend.
