Charles Villiers Stanford’s Benedictus and Agnus Dei in F are suitable for single-voiced choirs, and the organ, too, has a simple pedal part that makes it highly appropriate for small churches with limited musical resources. The work is published as part of an ongoing policy to reissue works by this composer in the Autograph Edition, in new engravings but as the composer wrote and approved them, with no editing from another hand.
