Advent Dances was written as a companion piece to Pipe Dream – Roderick Elms’ earlier piece for trumpet and organ. It was premiered by Illumina Duo – Ellie Lovegrove (trumpet) and Richard Moore (organ) in Brentwood Cathedral on 7th November 2018. The duo subsequently recorded both pieces for the CD A Windy Christmas on the Herald label.
