Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s beautiful
Impromptu No. 2 in B minor
, first published in 1911, received its world premiere recording in 2021 on Isata Kanneh-Mason’s CD,
Summertime
. The Impromptu was also performed as an encore by Isata’s younger sister Jeneba Kanneh-Mason at her BBC Proms debut in August 2021.
