The Lamplighter
is a cycle of four songs, although it uses six of Robert Louis Stevenson’s poems. These are ordered so as to depict one child’s journey through the night from teatime to morning. Commissioned by Vacation Chamber Orchestras with funds provided by Yorkshire and Humberside Arts in celebration of 50 years of UNICEF.
